Model S-222 A & E Series Lift Stations

These units are engineered as a receiving sump for the fast evacuation of solids laden waste streams. These units are situated at the discharge end of the waste generating equipment to rapidly move the waste from the point of generation to a storage/collection area with a minimum of settling out of solids. Each unit is supplied with either an electric (Model S-222E) or air operated (Model S-222A) float activated pump. These units are available in heavy-duty polyethylene. See your W.E., Inc. Sales Representative for pricing on the different models available.

Features/Benefits:

  • Low profile construction accommodates gravity discharge from a wide variety of equipment.
  • Sturdy polyethylene construction will not rust.
  • The onboard float-activated pump is the only moving part.
  • Auto float pump prevents pump burn out from “forgetful” users.

Specifications:

  • Constructed of heavy-duty polyethylene.
  • Standard configuration is 2’W x 2’L x 2’H
  • Model S-222E provided with the 2P547 float-activated electric pump. Requires 115VAC electrical service. 19’ maximum vertical head. 1-1/2” NPT discharge outlet.
  • Model S-222A provided with a float activated air diaphragm pump. Requires both 115VAC electrical service and compressed air. 25’ Maximum vertical head. 1” NPT discharge outlet

Fluids Collection and Transfer Station

Applications:
This simple, yet reliable equipment is ideally suited for the collection and transfer of processing fluids such as vibratory/mass finishing, machining and grinding, parts washing and the like. The Model S-222 is typically situated adjacent to operating equipment and allows for gravity flow from the equipment into the unit. On board float activated pumps (electric or air operated) energize as fluids accumulate and will shut off automatically when operations are interrupted or stopped.

Vibratory:

Mass finishing operations typically produce effluent with copious amounts of “mud”, along with volumes of process compound and water. If the combined “mud” and liquid is allowed to accumulate, solids will become impacted, and removal is then very labor intensive. This unit is situated immediately adjacent to the discharge drain of vibratory bowls and tubs, thus allowing gravity flow from the vibe equipment into the S-222. The Model S-222 is engineered to accumulate small amounts of combined solids and liquids, and transfer them quickly before build up of solids become pronounced. These fluidized solids are easily transferred to settling tanks where accumulated solids are handled in a systematic, automated method (please see information regarding WE, Inc. settling systems).

Parts Wash, Machining And Grinding:
As shown in the vibratory/mass finishing application above, the Model S-222 can be situated adjacent to equipment drains. Process fluids are automatically transferred downstream for treatment.

Dumping Station:
Metal working fluids, mop water, equipment wash down fluids, and most other aqueous based wastes can be collected and transferred via the Model S-222.

Available As:
Model S-222E* (115VAC Electric Float Activated Pump) * Recommended for short distances and heights below 19’
Model S-222A** (Float activated Air Pump) ** Recommended for long distances and heights above 19’
